In this position, you will report to the Youth Centre Coordinator and play a vital role in assisting youth aged 13-25.
Your role will involve building connections, facilitating coping strategies, and tackling crisis situations effectively. By drawing on your social work education or relevant experience, you will be pivotal in guiding youth towards a positive path within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Form individual relationships with youth to enhance engagement
• Teach youth effective coping strategies and next steps
• Identify and bridge gaps between youth and available resources
• Ensure timely intervention during crisis situations
• Engage volunteers in youth support initiatives
Requirements:
• Must have post-secondary qualifications in relevant fields
• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
• Desire to contribute to youth mentorship and development
• Ability to build quick, positive relationships
• Prior experience in social services is advantageous
