Emergency Shelter Case Worker

Become a vital part of The Salvation Army at the Brantford Booth Centre as an Emergency Shelter Case Worker. This casual relief position focuses on supporting socially disadvantaged men in transitional housing and crisis situations.

As a Case Worker, you will maintain an active caseload, conduct resident assessments, and provide referral counseling. Collaborating with your supervisor, you will evaluate quality of life improvements and develop relationships with community resources to enhance client support. Flexibility is essential in this 24-hour operational environment, and you will assist with front desk tasks in addition to your core responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate caseload management for residents

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Service or equivalent experience

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of community resources

• First Aid and CPR certification required
