We are hiring for a Customer Assistance Representative Sr (CAR Sr) to provide high‑level customer service, primarily face‑to‑face, supporting branch and rental needs. The CAR Sr will receive local training and hands‑on experience to provide administrative support, serve customers, and act as a rental backup in a large home city branch or airport location.

Location: 801 Putney Road Unit 1, Brattleboro, VT 05301
Position: Full‑time
Starting pay: $18 / hour, 40‑hour work week. Employees may earn yearly merit increases based on performance.

Schedule:
- Monday: 6:30 am–5:30 pm (1‑hour lunch break)
- Tuesday: 7:30 am–5:00 pm (1‑hour lunch break)
- Wednesday: 7:30 am–12:00 pm (work every other week)
- Thursday: 7:30 am–5:00 pm (1‑hour lunch break)
- Friday: 7:30 am–5:00 pm (1‑hour lunch break)
- Saturday: 8:30 am–12:00 pm (work every other week)
- Greet all customers using prescribed dialogue as they arrive on the lot.
- Remind customers to check for personal belongings; record and turn any found items into lost and found with unit number, date, and time.
- Advise and review rental charges; provide accurate receipts.
- Inquire about service, assess satisfaction, and document dissatisfaction.
- Discreetly inspect incoming vehicles for damage and direct customers to the counter for damage/loss reporting.
- Verify that returned vehicles are filled with a full tank of gas.
- Create a service alert for any mechanical or body damage communicated by customers.
- Identify vehicles on system hold for turnback, time or mileage, recall, or other special lock, and verify proper lot placement.
- Identify and tag vehicles flagged for grounding or preventive maintenance, and verify proper lot placement.
- Keep the lot organized for ease of access and traffic flow.
- Understand the CDW/Emerald Aisle/Choice process; knowledge of rental/return documents, fuel services, extra hours/surcharges, and optional coverages.
- Understand the damage loss report procedure.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have two years of college experience or at least two years of customer service experience.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle; a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship.
- Must live within a reasonable commute of no more than one hour to the location.
- Must understand, read, write, and speak English.
