Brattleboro, Vermont
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled OB/GYN physician to join a well‑established practice dedicated to providing comprehensive women's health care. Our practice emphasizes a collaborative, physician‑respected, and community‑oriented approach, with a focus on maintaining a high quality of life and flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver full‑spectrum obstetrical and gynecological care to a diverse patient population.
- Manage gynecological consultations from surrounding primary care providers and in‑house midwives.
- Perform a variety of office‑based gynecological procedures.
- Maintain a consistent surgical volume utilizing three newly equipped operating rooms.
- Conduct minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic surgeries.
- Work 3–4 clinic days per week, managing a patient load of approximately 12–14 cases daily.
- Allocate an average of three designated operating room days per month.
- Provide backup support for midwife‑led obstetric care focusing primarily on uncomplicated deliveries.
- Participate in a manageable home call model shared among physicians (1 in 4 rotation).
- Support a birth center offering VBACs, water births, nitrous oxide analgesia, and 24‑hour epidural services.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, RNs, and medical assistants.
- Practice evidence‑based OB/GYN care within a state that protects reproductive rights constitutionally.
- Engage in a long‑standing practice with minimal staff and physician turnover, ensuring continuity of care.
- MD or DO degree (Required)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN (Required)
- If Board Eligible, include graduation date (Required)
- Clean malpractice history (Required)
- Active Vermont medical license to be obtained prior to start (Required)
- Completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency in OB/GYN (U.S. or Canada) (Required)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- State license as per Vermont requirements
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and have completed an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
