Field/Manufacturing Technician

General Functions
:
You will perform a variety of technical assignments for manufacturing of mechanical and electrical projects (Capital, Expense and Development) under the guidance of electrical, software and mechanical engineering. Support and perform field and onsite deployment, maintenance, setup and operation of integrated systems.

Your Day-to-Day:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support and assist in rebuilds of outage support systems

Perform onsite deployment, maintenance, setup and operation of integrated systems

Travel for 30 to 50 percent of year to support outage and emergent work scope

Generate purchase requisitions from system packages

Coordinate with supervision for daily priorities

Manufacture, test and peer check subparts of larger and/or fully integrated systems to engineering procedures, CAD drawings and/or Schematics.

Assist, support, and coach both level I and peer technicians with work assignments as needed

What is needed to be successful in this role:

Education and Qualifications / Skills and

Competencies:

Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

Understand the subparts of larger and/or fully integrated systems

Must have soldering skills (J-STD-001 for example)

Can use Digital Multimeters, HI Pot testers, Oscilloscopes, power supplies and calipers

Ability to be self-sufficient with assigned work tasks and minimal supervision

Has a willingness to give ‘Whatever it takes’ to get the job done right the first time and integrity to complete it following safe and ethical practices.

Electronics Associate degree or High School Diploma plus 4+ year’s experience in equivalent field

Verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skill levels
