Per Diem Pharmacist – oversees daily operations of the Pharmacy department, assists in training, manages inventory, ensures compliance with Kinney Standard of Practice, state and federal regulations.

Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice, ensuring high-quality health care service to our customers.

• Follows the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients.
• Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed; reports dispensing incidents promptly.
• Follows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy.
• Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims.
• Manages and balances pharmacy inventory to maximize turns while remaining in‑stock for customer needs; coordinates orders with Kinney Warehouse and suppliers.
• Checks pharmacy inventory for obsolescence and processes all returns.
• Maintains prescription files and other manual records in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Optimises use of in‑store pharmacy technology for maximum ROI and lifespan.
• Ensures outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
• Ensures all loss prevention policies are followed; reports deviations.
• Assists in implementation of corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising and promotional programs.
• Maintains a clean and professional pharmacy environment.
• Develops professional relationships with doctors and other health service professionals.
• Stays aware of developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services, integrating them into practice.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
• Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Helps meet or exceed budgetary sales guidelines and operates within them.
• Assists in training and development of pharmacy personnel, including Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program.
• Interfaces with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
• Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.

• Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
• Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift.
• Certified Immunizer.

• Drug test.
• Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring.
• Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Basic keyboarding skills.

$56.10 - 66.72 an hour. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
