Sets‑up and operates all types of machines under the direction of the Supervisor, Lead Person and/or Group Leader.

• Sets‑up and operates machines in area assigned, performing duties with little or no supervision.
• Obtains prints, tools, collets, wheels, gaging and fixtures as required, changes and replaces tools to assure parts are produced to tolerances and specifications dictated by blueprints.
• Reads and understands work instructions, GD&T and blueprints.
• Assures compliance with job specifications by inspecting parts as produced using micrometers, verniers, gages and/or other measuring equipment.
• Diagnoses and corrects machining programs; reports any problems immediately to lead/supervisor.
• Maintains area, equipment and tools in neat, orderly condition. Performs basic machine maintenance such as removing chips, adding coolant, etc.
• Maintains records or other data as required.
• Assists in training other operators.
• Operates support equipment as necessary for department.
• Ensures production quantity, quality and good machining practices.
• Observes all company policies, rules and regulations including attendance, break schedule, housekeeping, safety and security.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Performs other duties as required, assigned or directed.

• High School Diploma or GED and 2‑4 years’ experience.
• Ability to use all required measurement and inspection equipment.
• Ability to make major adjustments/offsets including positional moves.
• Ability to change and re‑sharpen tools as necessary.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble production tooling and machinery.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic understanding of company‑wide manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and share necessary information.
