Job Description Responsibilities

- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler
- Prepare products
- Receive and process telephone orders
- Take inventory, complete associated paperwork, and clean equipment and facility approximately daily
Communication skills: ability to comprehend and give correct written instruction, communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately and quickly (calculator may be used); make correct change.
Motor coordination: rapid and accurate eye‑hand‑finger movement and speed.
Computer skills: ability to enter orders using a keyboard or touch screen.
Posture and movement: standing most tasks are performed from a standing position; walking is generally over short distances; sitting for paperwork occurs at a desk or table.
Lifting: bulk product deliveries twice a week or more; deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds (3′ × 1.5′). Cases are lifted from the floor and stocked onto shelves up to 72 high. Large cans (~3 lb 7 oz) are carried to storage shelves. Occasionally 30‑lb pizza sauce and 12‑lb pizza dough trays are carried over short distances.
Climbing, stooping/bending, and crouching/squatting: infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders; forward bending at the pizza prep table and front counter; limited knee flexing while standing. Duration of each position is 30‑45 seconds, repeated continuously during the day.
Reaching: continuous up, down, and forward; sometimes above 72 inches to turn controls or lift objects from shelves; reaching down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; forward reaching for toppings, cleaning, or answering phones.
Hand tasks: hand‑eye coordination essential; use of both hands continuous; shaping dough, manipulating a pizza peel, folding boxes; frequent forceful pinching required; ability to grasp cans, phones, pizza cutter, peel, boxes.
Tool and equipment: use of pens, computer, telephone, calculator, pizza cutters, and pizza peel.
