• Requirement: at least a secondary school diploma (Sekundarstufe I)

• Training start: from August/September of a year
• Training duration: usually 3.5 years
• Vocational school lessons: 2 days per week at Berufskolleg Kleve
• Final exam / Part I: after approximately 1.5 years, consisting of theory and an inter-company assignment
• Final exam / Part II: after 3.5 years, consisting of theory and a company or inter-company assignment
