At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Strategist to join our team in Brazil. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovating, transforming, and multicultural environment.

Position Overview

As a Data Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing our organization’s data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This senior leadership position bridges the gap between business needs and data capabilities, allowing us to leverage our data assets effectively to drive competitive advantage, enhance operational efficiency, and support informed decision‑making across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Vision

Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise data strategy that aligns with organizational goals and digital transformation initiatives.

Define the data vision, roadmap, and governance framework for the organization.

Identify opportunities to leverage data as a strategic asset for business growth and innovation.

Lead data‑driven initiatives that support business objectives and create measurable value.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

Collaborate with C‑suite executives, business unit leaders, and IT leadership to understand data needs and priorities.

Translate business requirements into data strategy components and actionable plans.

Present data strategies, findings, and recommendations to executive leadership and board members.

Build consensus across departments on data priorities and resource allocation.

Data Governance & Quality

Establish data governance policies, standards, and best practices.

Define data quality metrics and implement continuous improvement processes.

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.).

Champion data literacy and foster a data‑driven culture across the organization.

Analytics & Insights Strategy

Define the analytics and business intelligence roadmap.

Identify and prioritize use cases for advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning.

Evaluate emerging data technologies and assess their applicability to the organization.

Measure and report on the value and ROI of data initiatives.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Analytics teams to ensure strategy execution.

Partner with Enterprise Architects to align data strategy with overall technology strategy.

Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams on data‑related matters.

Support change management efforts related to data transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Data Science, or equivalent) preferred.

Experience

10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or related technology fields.

5+ years in a strategic leadership or consulting role focused on data strategy.

Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise data strategies.

Experience with data governance frameworks and implementation.

Technical Knowledge

Deep understanding of data architecture patterns, data modeling, and data management principles.

Familiarity with modern data platforms (cloud data warehouses, data lakes, data mesh).

Knowledge of analytics and BI tools, data integration technologies, and MDM solutions.

Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their business applications.

Skills

Exceptional strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.

Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

Strong executive presence and ability to influence at all organizational levels.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.

Preferred Qualifications

Industry certifications (CDMP, DAMA, TOGAF, etc.).

Experience in healthcare, finance, retail, or similar industries.
