POSITION SUMMARY

The role of an Assistant Site Manager directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As an Assistant Site Manager, you will provide daily onsite assistance to the Site Manager to complete erection and commissioning activities on time and within budget by direct involvement with site crews during all phase gates of the project.

WHAT

YOU’LL DO
  • Assists with the everyday activities at the Wind Farm during the erection and commissioning phase.
  • Provides assistance to the Site Manager coordinating all the activities during the erection and commissioning of the WTG from beginning to “Take Over Certification.”
  • Assists with the coordination of the mobilization of all heavy equipment on-site, including Cranes, erection (mechanical and electric) equipment, and transportation equipment.
  • Helps organize and track all the quality control and transportation documents.
  • Interacts with customers and contractors during wind farm construction.
  • Assists with the everyday activities at the Wind Farm during the erection and commissioning phase.
  • Ability to operate wind farm when Site Manager is on rotations, PTO, etc.
WHAT YOU HAVE
  • Associates in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent related work experience accepted.
  • Preferred 3 years of mechanical/construction experience;
    Wind Farm mechanical construction experience preferred.
  • Experience in quality management and quality control processes;
    Wind Turbine Assembly experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions
  • Ability to spend 100% of the time at the wind farms during the erection and commissioning process
  • Ability to manage personnel and interface with the customers and contractors
  • Ability to manage contractors, sub-contractors, and the public
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several activities at once, including organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and prepare reports
  • WTG on-site assembly experience preferred
  • Ability to travel domestic and international locations to project sites and on business as required with the ability to obtain a passport.
  • Ability to meet specific OSHA and ANSI weight limits of 265 lbs. or less
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical administered by a medical examiner to ensure the ability to safely perform job functions and meet the physical demands of the position
  • Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.

  • Speak and understand English fluently to effectively communicate safety and job-related information, follow safety instructions, and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members.

The pay for this role is exempt at $75,000.00 – $88,000.00 USD with up to a 10% bonus.…
