Summary of the Role:

The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day activities of a business or organization. They are responsible for ensuring that the company's operations run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Supervise and manage the performance of employees, including scheduling, training, and coaching.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor operations to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Assess and report on department performance, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels, order and receive materials, and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other business units to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage equipment maintenance and repair, as well as facility upkeep and safety.
  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of business operations.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in using various software applications, such as Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during high-pressure situations.

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Training and experience in Lean Six Sigma is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and standards is a plus.
