The Professional Service team develops software solutions at a cost to Quorum’s customers and helps maintain customer satisfaction by providing further value to what Quorum offers. The team also develops high‑quality data integrations, operates data pipelines, develops data models, and builds services and APIs to support server‑side application logic, monitor for and improve performance, and integrate with the front‑end. As a Professional Service Engineer, you will collaborate with the rest of the engineering and product teams to design and launch new product services for all of Quorum’s products.

You will be part of the professional service technical team and report to a Professional Service Manager and work the full‑stack using tools like React/Redux, Python, Django, Postgre

SQL, AWS and much more. This team supports Quorum’s mission of building exceptional software for public affairs professionals by being responsible for the end‑to‑end feature development and maintenance of integrations and services of the all Quorum products. You will interact directly with customers to scope, deliver, and test the solutions that you create.

What You’ll Do
  • First Week: You’ll learn about the services that Quorum offers to their clients.
  • First Month: You’ll write code at several levels of the stack, from infrastructure to API to UI to support these services.
  • First Six Months: You’ll take ownership of client and internal projects and make decisions that impact many clients.
  • First Year: You’ll help guide our team as we make broad technical decisions impacting our stack, our products, and the growth of the entire company.

What We Would Like to See
  • 5+ years of work experience at a company that produces software for end users as its primary function.
  • Professional experience writing application code in the backend language Python (required at least 2 years).
  • Professional experience writing application code in backend languages like Python, Java, Go, or Node.js for writing RESTful APIs, and knowledge of related technologies like JSON and HTTP methods.
  • Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger, OpenAPI), authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT), and data formats (JSON, XML) is very valuable.
  • Professional experience with any relational databases such as Postgre

    SQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
  • Professional experience in JavaScript.
  • Professional experience in front‑end technologies like React is a plus.
