Top regional accounting firm in Orange County is seeking a Tax Manager.

As a member of the tax team, the Tax Manager will work with a diverse client base and the primary responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, business, estates, trusts and researches unusual tax matters
• Assist business partners with other financial aspects of business, taxes, financial, strategy, etc.
• Manage, develop and mentor staff on projects and assess performance through periodic performance evaluations and informal feedback
• Identify and communicate creative ideas to improve client service, and entrepreneurial spirit to expand services with clients

• Ability to think independently and problem solve
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field
• Valid California CPA license in good standing
• 7+ years tax experience including at least three years in a CPA firm
• Solid technical skills in tax accounting
• Desirous of career advancement Successful problem-solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrated skills necessary to ensure high quality client service
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines and budgets
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel), Tax programs (CCH Access, PDFlyer, Sure Prep, Grunt Worx, TValue, Quickbooks)
