Are you a golf lover? We're working with a distribution company in the golf industry who is looking for a Sales Manager in the Southern California territory. You'll play a pivotal role in leading a sales team of about 10 people, executing growth strategies, and strengthening relationships.
And yes, you will get to (and need to) take customers out for a round of golf and play in tournaments.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to exceed revenue, profitability, and growth targets in Southern California.
- Lead, coach, and mentor Territory Sales Representatives and support staff to enhance performance and career development.
- Manage and grow the independent dealer network, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Oversee product rollouts, customer engagement initiatives, and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and drive professional growth.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards (e.g., OSHA) during product demonstrations, training, and field activities.
- Analyze sales metrics and market trends to inform strategy and territory planning.
- Represent the company at trade shows, dealer events, and regional meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of sales experience in turf equipment, landscape, construction, or related industries.
- Proven success managing sales territories and leading teams, ideally in Southern California.
- Knowledge of field-based safety standards and compliance practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 60%) within Southern California.
- Ample internal growth and direct working relationship with executive team.
