Job Description

Pay Range: $28hr - $35hr

The Engineering Lab Technician will support engineering and laboratory operations by compiling and analyzing technical data, preparing documentation, assisting with prototype development, and executing test protocols. This role involves close collaboration with engineers to ensure accurate data collection, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety standards.

• Compile, format, and manipulate technical data including lab results and engineering changes.
• Create engineering documentation such as reports, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics.
• Conduct quantitative analysis and prepare technical summaries.
• Support engineers in executing technical tasks and equipment qualifications.
• Assist with lab operations including calibration, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance.
• Identify and communicate project‑impacting factors to leadership.
• Participate in prototype development and test set‑up creation.
• Execute test protocols and document results accurately.
• Handle test samples and chemicals used in conditioning and testing.

• High school diploma required.
• At least 6 years of experience in a laboratory environment (corporate or academic) or as a technician in a regulated setting.
• Proven ability to follow written procedures and work collaboratively.

• Bachelor of Science in a technical field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a laboratory or R&D environment.
• Experience working in teams and following documented protocols.

• Ability to understand and execute test procedures as designed.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with lab and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills to address routine technical issues.
• Proficiency in using personal computers and related software.
• Capacity to train junior technicians in a team‑oriented environment.
