SummaryThe Progressive Die Press Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining progressive die stamping presses to produce high‑quality parts according to specifications and production schedules. The role requires a strong understanding of progressive die operations, safety procedures and quality control. The operator ensures efficient machine operation, minimizes downtime and maintains a safe, organized work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Set up and operate progressive die stamping presses, including loading parts, adjusting feed mechanisms and aligning dies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders and specifications to ensure accurate part production.
- Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform first‑piece inspections and in‑process quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Verify conformance of finished work‑piece to specifications and record piece count and run time.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Working experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 0–3 years related industrial machine shop experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
