Position SummaryAs our CAM Engineer, you’ll take customer electronic data and transform it into manufacturable PCB packages. You’ll optimize data packages to meet both company standards and customer specs, ensuring seamless flow from design to production. In this role, you’ll partner closely with engineering, planning, quality, and production to keep job releases accurate and on schedule.
KeyDuties & Responsibilities
- Tool jobs in the CAM environment (Genesis or equivalent) with precision
- Review customer data, prints, and purchase orders; interpret and clarify manufacturing requirements (direct communication with customers as needed)
- Generate outputs needed for manufacturing (drill, rout, LDI, etc.)
- Create production tooling and shop floor documentation per company standards
- Panelize data for production use, including test coupons
- Validate customer prints/specifications (tooling, process flow)
- Safely apply modifications to customer data when approved, while maintaining spec compliance
- Research, propose, and develop new CAM process improvements
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve discrepancies
- Be flexible to cross‑train in adjacent areas as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in a PCB manufacturing (CAM or related) environment
- Hands‑on experience with Genesis or comparable CAM software
- Knowledge of rigid, flex, and rigid‑flex PCB technologies
- Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC‑6012, IPC‑6013, IPC‑6018, etc.)
- Experience with Mil Spec, ANSI, ASME or related specs
- Ability to interpret complex assembly/PCB drawings
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and collaborate across teams
- Willingness to occasionally work overtime
- Must satisfy ITAR eligibility requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or Manufacturing Technology
- Experience with ERP or planning systems (e.g. Pro Cim)
- Prior exposure to continuous improvement / process optimization initiatives
- Hourly Pay: $36 – $44 (based on experience, education, skills)
