Position:Plating Operator
Location: Brea, CA – Full-Time, Onsite
Position DescriptionWe are seeking a Plating Operator to join our [Fullerton/Brea] facility. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining wet process and plating equipment to support the production of high-reliability printed circuit boards. The operator ensures accuracy, quality, and compliance with customer specifications and safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities- Operate and maintain wet process and plating equipment, including copper, nickel, gold, ENIG plating, etching, and cleaning processes
- Monitor plating quality, deposition thickness, and hole/trace dimensions using inspection tools
- Enter job data, operating parameters, and results accurately into computer systems
- Perform chemical additions, bath changes, solution transfers, and tank maintenance based on analysis results
- Operate and maintain chemical dosing equipment; handle manual chemical mixing and transfers when needed
- Conduct in-process inspections to verify product quality and compliance with specifications
- Maintain accurate production and chemical usage records
- Perform preventive maintenance on tanks, filtration, and rinse water systems
- Follow all PPE, chemical handling, and safety requirements to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to support product flow and process improvements
- Work overtime and weekends as required by production schedules
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of plating, PCB, or related industry experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow travelers, process instructions, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with computers and ability to learn new systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and visual accuracy
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, face shields, aprons, rubber boots, etc.)
- Comfortable working in and around chemicals
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
Hourly Pay: $19 - $24 per hour
Compensation is based on relevant experience, education, certifications, and specialized skills.
