Lamination Operator (3rd Shift)
LocationBrea, CA - Full-Time, Onsite
Position DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced Lamination Operator with a strong background in operating copper and gold plating lines for the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) industry. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both automated and manual plating processes, have a solid understanding of plating chemistry, and be committed to safety, quality, and attention to detail in every task.
Duties & Responsibilities- Operate automated and manual plating lines for copper and gold processes per traveler instructions.
- Monitor and control plating parameters (current, temperature, dwell time, etc.) to ensure quality results.
- Perform chemical additions, maintain bath chemistry, and document all changes accurately.
- Review and follow production travelers, blueprints, and customer specifications.
- Conduct in-process inspections and identify plating defects or irregularities.
- Complete and maintain plating logs, chemical records, and maintenance reports.
- Perform preventive maintenance on plating tanks, filtration systems, and related equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all chemical handling and PPE procedures.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and communicate issues or observations to supervisors or engineers.
- Work overtime or weekend shifts as required by production schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in plating or chemistry preferred.
- Experience with copper or gold plating in a PCB or metal finishing environment a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, customer specifications, and process procedures.
- Proficient in basic math, problem-solving, and use of computers for logging and tracking process data.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain documentation with accuracy.
- Must possess effective interpersonal and communication skills to work in a team environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Must strictly follow all safety measures, especially in the handling of chemicals and equipment.
Hourly Pay: $19 - $25 per hour.
Compensation is based on relevant experience, education, certifications, and specialized skills.
