Job Overview:

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring an experienced Transportation Safety & Training Supervisor to support our fleet located in Brea, CA. The Transportation Safety & Training Supervisor Manager will be responsible for guiding and mentoring both new hires and existing employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles. This role is crucial in ensuring drivers are well-prepared to operate different types of vehicles safely and efficiently, including but not limited to tractor-trailers, stake beds, and box trucks.

This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation:
  • Monday through Friday scheduled starting at 2:00am
  • Starting salary between $70,000 - $80,000 per year

What to expect as Transportation Safety & Training Supervisor:

  • Train and Mentor:
    Provide comprehensive training to new and existing employees, covering safety protocols, driving techniques, and company policies
  • Evaluate performance:
    Assess driver skills through hand-on training and road test, offering constructive feedback to help drivers improve
  • Promote Safety:
    Emphasize safe driving practices and compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
  • Support & Develop:
    Serve as a resource for drivers, offering guidance and support throughout their training or retraining
  • Train and Mentor:

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of increased responsibility within supply chain or transportation functions
  • 3 years of safety and training experience within a transportation setting
  • Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Must possess a currenty DOT medical card
  • BA or BS preferred or equivalent related work experience
  • Strong teaching, training, and coaching competencies required to succeed
  • Knowledge of key transportation processes and current best practices
  • Ability to influence and persuade in order to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to effectively communicate, interact and convey business decisions with many different levels within the organization
  • Experience with and knowledge of DOT regulations
