What You'll Do:

The Controller oversees the resort’s day-to-day accounting operations, supporting exceptional guest experiences through accurate, timely, and well-controlled financial processes. The role leads GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Revenue accounting, month-end close, and annual audit activities, and is responsible for CAMM and fixed-asset accounting, statutory compliance, balance sheet reconciliations, and systems implementations and integrations. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes, along with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

As a collaborative hospitality leader, the Controller partners with departments across the resort to translate financial information into clear, actionable guidance, communicate effectively throughout the organization, manage multiple priorities, lead through change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. This position is located on premises in Breckenridge, CO. Transitional housing may be available.

Position starts at $110,000 - $140,000 annual salary DOE

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Performance manage 4-5direct reports

Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead the monthly financial close, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.

Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, group and wholesale accounts receivable, daily revenue and cashiering, and accounts payable.

Manage owner and rental program accounting, ensuring accurate and timely accounting, owner statement generation, reconciliations, and related financial activity.

Oversee payroll processing and payroll accounting, including reconciliations, labor allocations, accruals, payroll tax support, and coordination with Human Resources and payroll providers, while maintaining strict confidentiality of employee and compensation information.

Manage accounts payable, including vendor management, invoice processing, payment approvals, expense coding, corporate card administration, employee expenses, and compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.

Monitor cash and treasury controls, including bank account activity, cash management, payment controls, bank reconciliations, and appropriate segregation of duties.

Lead procure-to-pay and other accounting automation initiatives, including workflow design, process documentation, vendor onboarding, employee training, system integration, and ongoing process improvement.
