Overview
The Town of Breckenridge Community Development Department is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Permit Technician. As a key member of the Departments Building Division, the incumbent will play a vital role in supporting builders, contractors, and community members at the front counter. The Permit Technician issues building permits, maintains records, and ensures accurate data entry into the Ener Gov system.
In addition to providing exceptional customer service, this role assists with administrative tasks and may provide coverage for the Administrative Supervisor.
- Issue building permits and maintain related records.
- Ensure accurate data entry into the Ener Gov system.
- Provide exceptional customer service to builders, contractors, and community members at the front counter.
- Support the smooth operation of the Building Division through administrative tasks.
- Occasionally provide coverage for the Administrative Supervisor as needed.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED required. Three (3) or more years of customer service experience required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a professional office environment required. Valid Colorado Drivers License required within 30 days of employment.
DESIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
Five (5) or more years of customer service experience preferred. Experience in construction, building inspections, or similar fields of work highly desired. International Code Council (ICC) Permit Technician Certification or the ability to obtain within one (1) year preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish desired.
- Hiring Pay Range: $ per hour.
- Full Pay Range: $ per hour.
Generally, the work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. 5 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m. p.m. (noon).
