The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking a qualified, customer-focused Certified Tennis Instructor to plan, deliver, and supervise high-quality tennis programs for youth and adults of all skill levels. This position requires strong knowledge of tennis techniques, instructional progressions, and teaching methodologies to create engaging, safe, and inclusive learning environments.
Certified Tennis Instructors provide group, semi-private, and private lessons at the Breckenridge Recreation Center, teaching core skills such as serves, ground strokes, volleys, and overheads. Responsibilities include coordinating lesson schedules, tracking student progress, communicating effectively with participants and parents, and performing racket stringing. Proficiency in tennis skills, familiarity with USPTA techniques, and an understanding of the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) are required to successfully support participant development.

MINIMUM & DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- One (1) or more years of customer service experience required.
- One (1) or more years of computer experience and Microsoft Office software experience required.
- Tennis playing ability of NTRP of 4.0 or equivalent is required.
- Training and experience in coaching tennis is preferred.
- USTA Certification required at time of hire.
- Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
- Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
Typical Hiring Pay Range
: $23.00 - $27.50 per hour.

WORK SCHEDULEIndividuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
