Company Overview

MuReva Phototherapy was established in 2018 and is committed to changing the way physicians approach cancer treatment by addressing key dose limiting side‑effects for which there are currently only palliative solutions such as opioids. The company aims to not only improve patient outcomes but also significantly increase quality of life while saving healthcare costs. MuReva was spun‑off from its parent company, Lumitex, a leader in fiber‑optic lighting technologies, to focus on developing a patient‑friendly approach for delivering phototherapy treatment.

With the assistance of $1.7M in grant funding from the National Institutes of Health and an additional $5M+ in private funding, MuReva has developed a new light transmission modality to overcome barriers that have prevented its mainstream adoption.

We are looking for passionate, flexible, action‑oriented, and collaborative engineering students for an exciting and diversified co‑op experience at our Brecksville, OH location. Under the direction of an experienced Engineer, co‑ops will be exposed to design, manufacturing, testing, and prototyping, and will manage projects and contribute to the Engineering Team.

• Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior engineering student pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
• Available for the Spring 2026, Summer 2026, or Fall 2026 semester and interested in returning on a rotational basis.
• Wants to work in a hands‑on environment, up to 40 hours per week.
