Regional Human Resources Manager

Cardinal Senior Living is hiring a Regional Human Resources Manager to provide strategic HR leadership across multiple communities in Ohio
, with an onsite work focus. In this role, you will support community leaders by translating employment law and policy expectations into practical guidance, while managing high-impact employee relations matters, complex leave, investigations, and risk escalation.

You will partner closely with Executive Directors and regional operations leadership to help them make consistent, well-informed decisions. The work is centered on ensuring community leaders know what to do, why it matters, the risk involved, and where decision boundaries are set.

• Deliver regional HR leadership across multiple Ohio communities
• Own key employee relations functions, including workplace investigations
• Lead corrective action and performance management
• Handle termination review and support high-risk employment decisions
• Manage FMLA administration and complex leave situations
• Provide guidance on ADA and workplace accommodations
• Oversee workers’ compensation case management and coordinate return-to-work
• Ensure employment law and regulatory compliance are met
• Interpret and reinforce policy for consistent application across communities
• Maintain documentation and manage cases end to end
• Provide leadership coaching and execution guidance
• Escalate material employee, legal, or compliance risk when appropriate
• Support leaders in navigating difficult situations, including exhausted FMLA scenarios, serious performance issues, workers’ compensation cases, and investigations

You will help operational teams prioritize quickly, communicate clearly, and distinguish routine matters from those that create meaningful organizational risk. A core part of the role is coaching community leadership through people decisions while maintaining a balanced approach between employee advocacy and business judgment, backed by employment law and company policy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
• Strong employee-relations experience
• Demonstrated working knowledge of:
  FMLA
• Demonstrated working knowledge of:
  ADA and accommodations
• Demonstrated working knowledge of:
  Workers’ compensation
• Demonstrated working knowledge of:
  Performance management
• Demonstrated working knowledge of:
  Workplace investigations
• Demonstrated working knowledge of:
  Terminations and corrective action
• Demonstrated working knowledge of:
  Federal and state employment law
• Strong documentation and case-management discipline
• Ability to coach and influence operational leaders
• Strong judgment and comfort making recommendations in ambiguous situations
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Ohio region

• SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR
• Multi-site or regional HR experience
• Experience supporting decentralized operating environments, such as senior living, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, or similar industries
• Experience supporting front-line leaders in high-volume employee populations

$65,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience, credentials, and demonstrated capability.
