- Brecksville, OH 44141## Overview Position Type Full Time## Description Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment, and performs industrial hose assembly and fabrication tasks. This is a full-time position, M – F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
* Review and prioritize daily shipping orders when received.
* Pull all parts as indicated on the shipping orders, assemble and prepare components as necessary.
* Perform industrial hose assembly and fabrication, including cutting, crimping, and testing hoses to meet specifications.
* Inspect and test assembled hoses for quality assurance, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
* Properly label and package assembled hoses and other products for shipment.
* Load and unload trucks as necessary. Inspect containers and materials, reporting any damage or missing items.
* Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
* Determine the appropriate method of shipment.
* Affix shipping labels on packed boxes.
* Assemble cardboard containers or select pre-assembled containers.
* Insert items into containers and bind containers with appropriate tape.
* Unpack and examine incoming shipments, record damaged items, document shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify discrepancies.
* Route items to the appropriate location.
* Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
* Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
* Operate a forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the shipping and receiving platform.
* Other duties as assigned.## Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED; and 6 months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience in industrial hose assembly and fabrication preferred.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Commerce Center.
* Willing to become forklift certified.
* Willing to complete Hazard Communication training.
* Must have excellent attention to detail.
* Must have access to reliable transportation.
