Pilot Plant Technician (Cook)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pilot Plant Technician to join our team, focusing on cooking and preparing fruit samples. This role involves working closely with the New Product Development Team to ensure quality and innovation in our product offerings.

Responsibilities

+ Cook approximately 9 samples of fruit preparations daily following established procedures.

+ Adjust cook formulas to meet detailed specifications on procedures.

+ Perform quality testing on customer sample batches, including pH and Brix measurements.

+ Operate, clean, and maintain pilot scale equipment as part of daily tasks.

+ Support New Product Development Team leaders by reporting any issues with materials, equipment, or objectives.

+ Participate in internal or cross-functional projects as a team member.

+ Maintain accurate records of run conditions, including analytical and process data, and ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.

+ Pull raw materials needed for the next day's schedule.

+ Perform scheduled sanitation tasks.

+ Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe pilot plant environment, ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, FDA, and internal quality standards.

Essential Skills

+ Quality assurance expertise.

+ Knowledge of food preparation and safety standards.

+ Bachelor's degree in a related field.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate's Degree in a related science field is required.

+ Willingness to be on feet during shifts and ability to lift boxes of ingredients (10-40 lbs) regularly.

+ Experience in the food industry or food manufacturing is a plus, demonstrating cleanliness and sanitation knowledge.

+ Experience in pilot scale operations is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brecksville, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
