Overview
Maintenance Technician (Facilities) at Applied Medical Technology, Inc. (AMT). Since 1985, AMT has specialized in enteral device product development, design, manufacturing, and engineering in a state‑of‑the‑art facility near Cleveland, Ohio. The role focuses on maintaining equipment and facilities to support production.
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for overall maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of AMT equipment and buildings.
Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain and repair shop floor equipment and general building systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Perform preventive maintenance as required.
- Provide recommendations for improving current systems, schedules, and records.
- Use CMMS to record work history, identify parts usage, track equipment downtime, and schedule preventative maintenance.
- Assist with new equipment installation.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Follow lockout/tag out procedures.
- Replace light bulbs and perform general upkeep.
- Clean and maintain the production area.
- Shovel sidewalks and patios as needed.
- Run errands and address emergencies as they arise.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with electrical repairs, multi‑meters, electrical schematics, and machinery troubleshooting.
- Experience working with electric motors, heating elements, pumps and other mechanical equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, and regulations.
- Basic math skills.
- Problem‑solving and interpretation of written, oral, and diagrammatic instructions.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and independent work with minimal supervision.
- Intermediate mechanical and tool knowledge.
- Mental:
Effective communication, analysis of numbers, written material interpretation, compliance with policies, responsiveness to feedback, positive relationships, problem solving. - Physical:
Hear and verbally communicate; lift up to 50 lbs; sit, stand, walk for hours; moderate noise; use of isopropyl alcohol, mineral spirits, acetone, PVC primer, hydraulic fluid, industrial cleaners and solvents.
- Pallet jack, lift truck, hand tools, ladders, computer, basic office equipment, multi‑meters, calipers, air compressor, etc. (supplied by AMT).
May be required to pass a drug, alcohol, and/or criminal background check.
