We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team in Brecon. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills within a supportive environment that values person‑centred care. Based in Brecon, you will work within a team committed to supporting individuals with autism and complex needs to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities- Leading shifts and overseeing team activities to ensure high-quality support
- Allocating duties and supervising support staff to promote effective teamwork
- Managing medication administration and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting individuals with autism in their daily routines, promoting independence and wellbeing
- Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and household activities within the home setting
- Encouraging participation in social, recreational, educational, and community activities
- Acting as a positive role model and mentoring less experienced team members
- Contributing to the review and development of person‑centred care plans
- Collaborating with families, professionals, and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and escalating concerns when necessary
- Recognised Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs
- A genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence to support and motivate team members
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and occasional nights
- A full UK driving licence
- Competitive salary of £32,800, with regular pay reviews

This role involves supporting both children and adults. The successful candidate will undertake regulated activity with both age groups and will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, including relevant barred list checks.
