Salary, Benefits and Working Hours

You’ll earn £32,000 to £35,000, plus a profit share scheme, medical insurance, pension, 25 days holiday and all bank holidays.

Working hours:

Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑16:30, Friday 8:00‑15:30.

This is a practical machining role in a small, flexible workshop.

• Develop and machine precision‑turned and milled parts in the machine shop (≈80% of time).
• Assist the assembly team in preparing machines for customers (~20% of time).

Key tasks include:

• Turning shafts, pins, bosses on a Harrison lathe.
• Milting parts and features (keyways, circlip grooves) on an XYZ milling machine.
• Operating a Haas CNC turning centre.
• Programming CAM using Fusion
  360.
• Fitting turned parts into machines and adding mechanical assemblies.

• Solid experience in machining/toolmaking, capable of producing shafts, pins, bosses, keyways, and circlip grooves.
• Proficient with manual lathes, milling machines, and CNC turning centres.
• Working knowledge of CAM programming;
  Fusion
  360 preferred but other packages acceptable.
