£33,930 per annum | 40 hours per week
Typically Monday to Friday | Weekend events as required (overtime paid after 40 hours)

The Role

As Chef Manager at IBS Brecon, you will take full ownership of the catering operation, combining strong operational leadership with a hands‑on approach in the kitchen. This is an active role where you will lead from the front, supporting food production and service while ensuring efficient, compliant day‑to‑day operations.

This position offers a strong work‑life balance, with a predominantly Monday to Friday schedule. Flexibility is required to support events and functions, including occasional weekends, with overtime paid for hours worked beyond 40 per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading, motivating, and developing your team to deliver excellent food and customer service
  • Taking a hands‑on role in a busy kitchen, supporting production and service as required
  • Managing budgets, stock control, ordering, and operational planning
  • Monitoring stock levels and coordinating orders across service points
  • Completing weekly and monthly accounts accurately and on time
  • Conducting internal audits and ensuring full compliance with company policies and legislation
  • Reviewing KPIs with senior management and driving continuous improvement
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and Health & Safety
  • Using strong organisational and time management skills to ensure smooth daily operations
