About the Role
As a Logistics Mechanisation Consultant at Groenewout, you will be responsible for supporting the customer during the design & implementation of logistics automation projects from tender until go-live. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and a strong affinity for logistics, you will oversee the functional design and execution of AS/RS systems, Auto Store solutions, conveyor systems, and packaging lines, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to operation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of logistics automation projects, starting from design to the tender process with different suppliers.
Translate conceptual designs and feasibility studies into detailed engineering.
Coordinate with suppliers, IT teams, and operational staff to ensure alignment on system specifications and integration.
Develop and document test plans and acceptance criteria for automated solutions.
Oversee and execute system testing, including Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), technical availability tests, stress tests, and operational ramp-up.
Provide hands‑on support during implementation, troubleshooting issues and optimizing system performance.
Ensure system compliance with safety regulations.
Your Profile
A self‑starter who likes to take ownership.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related technical field).
Strong affinity with logistics and warehouse automation.
1-2 years of experience with implementing automated logistics solutions, such as shuttles, Auto Store, conveyors, and packaging lines.
Hands‑on experience with tender processes, supplier coordination, and system testing.
A good command of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
Experience with Sketch Up and AutoCAD for layout visualization.
