Homologation Engineer Vehicles

Responsibilities

Analyze the impact of engineering changes on homologation and certification

Support engineering teams in ensuring regulatory compliance

Prepare detailed homologation and validation test plans

Align type approval activities with technical services and regulatory authorities

Coordinate and witness homologation testing activities

Negotiate with authorities on the interpretation of regulations when required

Document test results and technical data according to applicable standards

Contribute to the Conformity of Production (COP) compliance program

Collaborate with international, cross-functional teams in engineering and validation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in homologation, validation, or vehicle development

Knowledge of type approval processes (WVTA) and relevant regulations (EC/UNECE)

Experience in vehicle or system testing and validation

Strong communication and persuasion skills

Proactive, entrepreneurial, and results‑driven mindset

Excellent command of the English language (Dutch is a plus)

Broad knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive engineering
