A Desktop Support Analyst based on the client site in Breda provides hands‑on technical support to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of workplace IT systems and services. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, customer‑centric support across hardware, software, networking, and workplace technologies within a fast‑paced business environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and a range of software applications.
- Assist users with any logged IT-related incident when called upon.
- Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes, restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
- Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
- Install and configure new IT equipment.
- Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.
- Resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners.
- Maintain a first‑class level of customer service, treating all customers efficiently and appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.
- Work as part of an IT Support Team and manage changing priorities.
- Create, maintain and publish support documentation to enable users to resolve incidents and service requests independently.
- Update client assets in the Hardware Asset Management database, keep IT stockrooms up to date, tidy and manage asset disposals, and return leased devices to the lessor on a monthly basis.
- Work on infrastructure maintenance activities during working hours and, when required, provide out‑of‑hours support (after business hours, weekend work).
- Operate within relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Actively support the organization’s equality and diversity policies.
- Attend training courses as identified and agreed for appropriate development.
- Good working and troubleshooting knowledge of Windows 10/11.
- Experience with an ITSM tool (e.g., Service Now) to update tickets on a daily basis.
- Microsoft Active Directory knowledge and usage.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
- Basic TCP/IP networking protocols.
- Setup of wireless handheld devices such as Apple iOS iPhone / iPad.
- Coordinate activities with Help Desk, Network Services, or other IS groups.
- Working proficiency in both Dutch and English is mandatory.
