About the Opportunity Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced supply chain environment and learn more about the logistics behind Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)? Then this internship is a great opportunity for you.
Additionally, we are currently looking for a Weekend Assistant for the same team. This can be a great way to kick-start your internship experience. This position is paid according to the regular salary scale (not an internship allowance).As an Allocation Intern, you will become part of the team in Breda responsible for the daily allocation activities for the Ridderkerk warehouse. You will operate in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly and where your work has a direct impact on the operational flow.
Advanced level of English.
Dutch, Spanish or Portuguese language is an advantage
Responsibilities
During this internship, you will actively participate in day-to-day operations and support the team with a variety of logistics tasks, including:
Supporting the allocation of sales orders by assigning pallets based on pack type, quality, and fruit age, aligned with customer requirements
Monitoring and updating ETAs of inbound shipments, and proactively flagging potential risks to stakeholders
Performing daily stock checks and making adjustments where necessary
Creating and maintaining overviews for production orders
Coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations
Supporting the team in adapting plans when circumstances change
Candidate Profile What do you bring?
We are looking for a proactive and motivated student with a strong interest in logistics and supply chain processes:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Interest in FMCG and operational processes
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindsetA proactive attitude, with the ability to take initiative and think in solutions
Experience with Excel is a plus
