Team Leader, Management

Overview

Team Leader position at H&R Block. You will provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll lead the front-line management and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives.

• Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement
• Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions
• Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns
• Ensure clients are scheduled properly and conflicts are resolved
• Lead daily activities to ensure tax office work is completed by deadlines with quality and alignment to priorities and goals
• Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions
• Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates
• Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management
• Prepare tax returns, as required
• Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to address performance concerns

• Prior experience in customer service, shift lead, or similar role
• Experience supervising or managing people
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)
• Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements
• Computer proficiency with MS Office
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Customer-centric mindset, with resilience and determination
• Flexibility in work schedule and assignments based on business needs
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher

The posted pay range is $15.00 - $65.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefits as described above.
