Position Summary
Pharmacy Technicians are at the forefront of CVS Health’s mission to increase patient access to care, lower costs, and improve quality. They deliver compassionate care by managing pharmacy workstations, ensuring medication needs and regulatory compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Training and certification are required, with evolving responsibilities as experience grows.
Responsibilities- Complete daily pharmacy tasks—labeling, dispensing, inventory management—while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist pharmacists in medication counseling and respond to customer inquiries.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as CVS Pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Maintain pharmacy workstations and uphold a clean, safe environment.
- Participate in ongoing training to build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Licensure requirements vary by state.
- Strong attention and focus; ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction.
- Customer‑service orientation; actively look for ways to help people, respond to customer reactions, and communicate effectively.
- Mathematical reasoning; ability to solve problems such as calculating a prescription supply.
- Problem‑resolution skills; identify issues and choose the best course of action.
- Basic math, communication, and listening skills.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer‑service setting.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- PTCB National Certification.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; not required.
Physical Demands- Remaining upright and on feet for sustained periods; moving between work areas.
- Working with fingers; extending arms; bending at the waist.
- Lifting up to 30 lbs occasionally; 10 lbs frequently.
- Verbal and written communication; readable visual acuity.
Anticipated weekly hours: 24 (part‑time).
Pay range: $16.50 – $25.00 per hour.
