Description
Medical Billing Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our dynamic billing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple offices and providers, contributing to efficient revenue cycle management while engaging with the community.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and process medical billing for multiple offices and healthcare providers
- Ensure accurate coding and submission of claims to insurance companies and patients
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to facilitate timely reimbursements
- Maintain and update patient billing records within the system
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to billing documentation and records
- Engage with the community as part of our outreach and involvement initiatives
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve billing issues
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in medical office billing (required)
- Certified Billing certification preferred
- Familiarity with Athena EHR system is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of medical coding, insurance procedures, and billing regulations
