This is a Leave Replacement position with an expected end date of May 11, 2026. The selected candidate will temporarily fill in for an employee on leave.
This role is 6 hours per day for ~56 days.
Clerical positions require our district Clerical Skills Test andyou will need to pass ourtyping test with a score of at least 40 wpm for this position.
Testing must be complete to be considered for the position.

SECRETARY - BUILDING
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The position of Building Secretary is responsible for providing support to administrators, other clerical personnel, staff, students, and community by generating and preparing forms and reports; responding to inquiries; ordering supplies; maintaining files; supervising students and volunteers.
Reports to and evaluated by:
Building Principal or Designee
- Generate a variety of District reports (i.e. student enrollment, teacher and class schedules, attendance/profiles, report cards, transcripts) to provide current and accurate information
- Input data and maintain records and documents
- Respond to staff, students, parents, outside agencies and the community (i.e. answering the telephone, problem resolution, and information dissemination)
- Supervise student assistants and volunteers working in the office
- Supervise students who are waiting in the office
- Order office supplies and materials
- Sort and distribute mail
- Attend meetings and training as required to improve knowledge and maintain skills
- Perform other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required - Experience:
One year of job related experience required;
School district experience preferred. - Possess skills to operate standard office equipment including computer and related software
- Possess knowledge of general clerical procedures; basic accounting practices; word processing, spreadsheet and database software
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, demonstrating the proper use of grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Ability to work with minimum supervision; organize and prioritize work; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and the community
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work related matters
