Position SummaryWe are looking for two part‑time Customer Service Specialists to join our team, with potential to transition to full‑time positions. The role involves providing information by phone and in person on bus and ferry schedules, county transit connectivity, park & ride locations, worker/driver routes, ACCESS bus requirements, fare schedules, and community activities. Employees work primarily at the Customer Service Offices in downtown Bremerton and travel across Kitsap County to attend transit fairs.
Responsibilities- Respond to transit information requests; assist customers in selecting appropriate transit apps and programs.
- Coordinate transportation for large groups and passengers traveling outside the County. Register and review eligibility for special transportation programs; process sales and cash management on a specialized POS system.
- Maintain trip information for existing routes and coordinate with schedulers for paratransit trips.
- Promote and present transportation programs to government and social service agencies; conduct community outreach and distribute materials.
- Investigate, resolve customer complaints, and advise supervisor on resolution.
- Participate in internal and external committees.
- Collect and maintain service‑related data, create photo IDs, update databases, and prepare reports.
- Handle regional ORCA phone line queries related to balance inquiries, fare payments, disputes, and technical issues.
- Assist with special projects and promotional events; train new Customer Service Specialists.
- Cover the reception desk at Harborside as needed.
- High school graduate with a minimum of two years of public customer‑service experience.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish is preferred.
- Cashier experience and ability to balance cash drawers. هاز
- Experience using point‑of‑sale systems and handling fare‑collection equipment.

Salary ores$26.66 – $35.86 per hour, commensurate with experience. Initial appointments usually at Step 1 ($26.66). Step increases based on a seven‑step progression.

Work HoursPart‑time: 20 – 25 hours per week, up to 40 hours as needed; flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Shift rotation; 5:50 AM – 7:15 PM weekdays; 7:44 AM – 4:15 PM weekends.
