Overview
Are you ready for one of the most rewarding summers of your life? We are seeking enthusiastic, Christ-centered individuals who love Jesus, enjoy working with youth, and are comfortable around horses. As a Horse Camp Summer Instructor, you will play a vital role in ministering to the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of Jr. and Sr. High campers at our overnight horse camps.
This position combines leadership development, hands-on teamwork, and intentional relationship-building in a fun, challenging, and purposeful environment. You’ll help maintain a safe and professional horse program, support camp activities, and serve as a positive role model to campers from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor campers through daily horse-related and camp activities
- Foster a Christ-centered environment and encourage spiritual growth
- Maintain horse facilities, equipment, and assist with basic horse care
- Support campers’ emotional and relational needs through active listening and engagement
- Work collaboratively with fellow staff to achieve camp goals and create a positive team culture
- Uphold safety standards and ensure campers' well-being at all times
- Love for Jesus and a heart for youth ministry
- Comfortable around horses; riding ability is a plus, but not required
- Completion of at least one year of college preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-player mindset
- Willingness to serve, learn, and grow in a high-energy camp environment
- Ability to commit to the full summer schedule and attend staff training
