French Adjunct Faculty

Overview

Olympic College is recruiting an adjunct French faculty member to teach French I, II, and III. The position is part‑time and requires daytime availability between 8:00 AM and 3:15 PM, with evenings from 5:00 PM to 7:15 PM as needed.

• Deliver quality teaching, including preparation, grading, and record keeping.
• Create and distribute class syllabi by the first day of class and as requested by the division office.
• Identify individual student learning needs and adjust learning environments and activities to meet those needs.
• Communicate punctually with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in French Language or a directly related area from an accredited institution.
• Teaching experience.
• Availability to teach during daytime hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in French.
• College teaching experience.

Only candidates authorized to work in the United States will be considered; the college does not sponsor visas. The salary contract is based on educational qualifications and applicable credits. This is a quarterly contracted position. Adjunct faculty must submit official transcripts to Human Resources within 30 days of employment.
