Reports To:
Director of Tutoring
- Provide academic support to students in non‑STEM subject areas
- Assist students in analyzing assignments and assigned readings
- Help students interpret discipline‑specific problems and situations
- Support students in clarifying critical thinking and communication skills
- Assist students working in an online format
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications
- Reference from an instructor or professor if currently an Olympic College student
- High school graduate, equivalent, or current Running Start student
- Completed course(s) to be tutored with an average decimal grade of 3.5 or higher
- Basic computer competency

Hourly employees must work 480 hours in a rolling six‑month period to become eligible for health benefits. Hourly employees must work 70 hours in any five months for two consecutive years to become eligible for retirement. This position is scheduled for up to 18 hours per week. It is an hourly position with optional benefits after eligibility.

Conditions of Employment- Background check, including criminal record history, will be conducted prior to hire.
- Candidate must complete the Sexual Misconduct Disclosure Form as required by WB HB 2327.
- Employee must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance of the campus.
- Frequent travel to Olympic College campuses or other sites may occur.
