Serve as guide and role model for scholars:
- Help build and uphold an environment for learning that invites and excites scholar learning
- Live and model Catalyst’s core values with scholars and their families
- Empower scholars to access their voices and leadership
- Support the day-to
-day happenings of the school - Manage student behavior according to common Catalyst practices and support the consistent and fair administration and tracking of student contact and discipline
Commit to your professional learning and growth
- Collaborate with your Lead Teacher and school team to improve instruction, build strong school culture, and grow your instructional skills
- Authentically engage in Catalyst’s culture of adult learning and professional development
- Invest in personal professional development by demonstrating a willingness to be coached during weekly coaching and feedback sessions
- With guidance from and in collaboration with a coach and Lead Teacher, teach small groups during tutorial sessions
- With guidance from and in collaboration with a coach and Lead Teacher, lead small group intervention for targeted scholars
- Meet with the Lead Teacher(s) regularly to discuss scholar progress and plan next steps for instruction and intervention
- With guidance from and in collaboration with a coach and Lead Teacher, lead advisory sessions with scholars around grades, credits, and academic progress
- Prepare lessons and exemplars and assist scholars with special needs as prescribed (we will train)
- With support from a coach and Lead Teacher, assist scholars with special needs in the areas of educational concern.
- Perform supervisory duties while scholars are utilizing a shared space around Olympic College’s campus
- Provide assistance in any lunch administration activities such as escorting scholars to lunch as well as to play areas, assist in cleaning for lunch areas
