The Role
Kitsap Credit Union is hiring a full‑time Accounts Control Manager to work hybrid out of our East Bremerton office. The manager is responsible for leading the Asset Recovery Team, including repossession collectors, to ensure the effective and timely resolution of past‑due consumer loans. This role oversees the strategic direction and daily operations of asset recovery, manages vendor relationships, and maintains KCU’s collection platform through proactive programming and system development.
The manager ensures compliance with collection standards, policies, and procedures while driving improvements in productivity, efficiency, and member experience.

Full‑time, Salaried, Exempt, Hybrid - Salary Range: $84,769.53 – $ (depending on experience)
- Bonus Target: 8% potential incentive of base pay
- Working Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM - Grade: 12BC

- Team Leadership & Oversight
- Manage and develop the Asset Recovery Team, including repossession collectors, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to support team growth and effectiveness.
- Foster a collaborative and professional work environment.
- Collections Operations
- Oversee the management of bankruptcies, foreclosures, and the remarketing of repossessed vehicles. Coordinate with internal teams, legal counsel, and third‑party vendors to ensure timely and compliant handling of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Monitor collection metrics and implement strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce losses. Monitor progress, ensure accurate documentation, and identify opportunities to improve recovery strategies and minimize losses.
- System & Platform Management
- Program and maintain the collection software platform to support operational needs and reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and vendors to implement system updates, troubleshoot issues, and optimize functionality.
- Vendor & Partner Relations
- Manage relationships with third‑party vendors including repossession agents, skip tracers, and legal partners.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure service‑level agreements are met.
- Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
