Camp Nurse

Overview

The Camp Nurse works cooperatively with program managers and the Warm Beach Camp Ministries Nurse Program On-Site Coordinator to deliver quality health care for attendees of Warm Beach Camp (WBC) programs, in concert with the WBC Nursing Policies and Procedures Manual and WBC Medical Standing Orders/Protocols. The Camp Nurse operates professionally within the scope of their own license while under the authority of the attending physician providing the Medical Standing Orders/Protocols.

The person in this position shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior towards colleagues, guests and supervisors. Regular attendance is essential for this position. Nurse commitments must be for at least 1 week.

• Provide health care and first aid services to attendees in accordance with WBC Nursing Policies and Procedures Manual and Medical Standing Orders/Protocols.
• Collaborate with program managers and the On-Site Coordinator to ensure timely and effective health care delivery.
• Operate within the scope of your license and under the authority of the attending physician.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and cooperative behavior toward colleagues, guests, and supervisors.
• Maintain regular attendance; nurse commitments must be for at least 1 week.

• Current license in appropriate nursing discipline.
• Ability to work in a camp setting and under standing orders/protocols.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
