Day in the Life as a Coffee Roaster/Wholesale Representative

As a Coffee Roaster and Wholesale Representative, your day‑to‑day expectations will blend hands‑on coffee roasting with engaging sales responsibilities. You’ll start each morning with quality assurance checks of our specialty coffee, then roast beans, monitor production, and maintain equipment to guarantee optimal roasting conditions. You’ll also interact with existing wholesale clients, assist with orders and inquiries, and actively seek opportunities to expand our customer base.

Organizing and managing inventory, and contributing to a seamless production flow, will be part of your routine. Your schedule is Monday to Friday, allowing for a structured work‑life balance.

Qualifications
  • In full agreement with The Coffee Oasis core values, mission, and Jesus Statement.
  • Previous coffee/café experience of 3 years (Required).
  • Passion for coffee and roasting (Required).
  • Previous coffee roasting experience of 2 years or 4 years of Barista experience (Required).
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships. Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills (Required).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (Required).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (Required).
  • Alignment with The Coffee Oasis' mission and core values (Required).
  • Able to quickly and efficiently problem‑solve (Required).
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move bags of coffee and supplies weighing up to 50–70 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often the majority of a shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as scooping, bagging, weighing, sealing, and operating equipment.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and climb step‑stools or short ladders as needed.
  • Ability to work in an environment with heat, cold, smoke, strong aromas, and moderate noise.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for handling small tools, adjusting equipment, and performing precision tasks.
  • Ability to safely operate or move carts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling equipment.
