Market Associate

Overview

West Sound Workforce is partnering with a Poulsbo-based non-profit organization to hire a Market Associate for their store operations. This community-focused organization connects local residents to sustainable resources and offers programs and services that strengthen the well-being of the entire county.

• Tuesday – Saturday 9 am – 5:30 pm

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Market environment
• Train, support, and collaborate with volunteers, clients, and donors
• Check in/out shoppers and assist with inventory, including receiving, sorting, stocking, and tracking food donations
• Support grocery rescue, home deliveries, food drives, and serve as a backup driver when needed
• Follow health and safety protocols and provide friendly donor acknowledgment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
• Valid WA driver’s license and safe driving record
• Bilingual candidates and prior food bank, retail, or similar experience are a plus
• Food Handler’s Certification preferred but not required
