Overview
Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team. Pay rate: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.59 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. This role is accountable for day-to-day store operations and fostering a positive/productive environment. You will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. The position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
You will analyze store financial statements with the Store Manager to ensure goals are met, participate in asset protection, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. You will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more. Pay includes hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a store performance bonus;
final pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.
- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers, merchandise, and asset protection procedures.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Maintain operating standards to meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing/pulling, lifting).
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Flexibility to work at multiple locations as needed.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
